Therapy, to me, is about more than feeling better.

It is about becoming more deeply connected to yourself.

I came to this work with a deep curiosity about what shapes us, our relationships, our families, our experiences, the ways we learn to protect ourselves, and the meaning we make of the lives we've lived.

Over the years, that curiosity has only deepened.

I've learned that healing rarely happens in a straight line. We can understand something intellectually and still feel its imprint in our relationships, our bodies, our emotions, and the choices we make. We can know exactly why we do something and still find ourselves doing it.

And sometimes, what brings us to therapy isn't simply something we want to heal.

It's the sense that we have become disconnected from who we are.

I Believe Healing Happens Within Connection

There are many therapeutic approaches that can help us understand ourselves and create change. I value them deeply and draw from several in my work.

But I don't believe technique alone is what makes therapy transformative.

The relationship matters.

Beginning therapy, or beginning again, can feel vulnerable. You are sharing parts of yourself that may have been misunderstood, dismissed, hidden, or carried alone for a very long time.

I want therapy to feel like a place where you don't have to perform or have the right words.

A place where you can arrive exactly as you are.

I offer a warm, thoughtful space without judgment or pressure. There is room for tears and laughter, uncertainty and insight, anger and grief, and the contradictions that are simply part of being human.

I will be present with you, curious with you, and willing to go beneath the surface with you.

My Approach Has Grown Alongside Me

My path as a therapist has never been about finding one method and applying it to everyone.

My clinical training began within marriage and family therapy, which taught me to see people within the larger context of their relationships, families, histories, and environments.

Over time, I found myself especially drawn to working with people who already understood a great deal about themselves but still felt caught in patterns they couldn't simply think their way out of.

That curiosity shaped the therapist I became.

I wanted to understand not only the stories we tell about our lives, but how our experiences continue to live within relationships, emotional responses, protective patterns, and the body. I became increasingly interested in approaches that could help us work with these deeper layers while still honoring the insight, strengths, and self-awareness each person brings into the room.

As my work evolved, I became increasingly interested in approaches that reach beyond insight alone.

I pursued training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), mindfulness, attachment-based work, Energy Psychology, and transpersonal psychotherapy.

These approaches allow us to work on different levels with thoughts and emotions, relational patterns, the nervous system, the body, formative experiences, and the deeper questions of identity and meaning.

But modalities are tools.

You are the person in the room.

Our work is shaped around you, your story, your pace, your strengths, your needs, and what you are ready to explore.

There Is Also a Deeper Dimension to My Work

I have always been interested in the places where psychology, mindfulness, embodiment, and our search for meaning meet.

My own path has led me to study and practice meditation, yoga, breathwork, Reiki, and other contemplative and mind-body traditions alongside my clinical work.

These experiences have expanded how I understand healing and strengthened my belief that we are more than a collection of symptoms to be managed.

At the same time, therapy is always your space.

You do not need to be spiritual, practice meditation, or share any particular worldview to work with me.

For clients who are interested in exploring questions of meaning, purpose, spirituality, or inner life, those conversations are welcome.

For those who aren't, they don't need to be part of our work at all.

What matters is what is meaningful to you.

The Woman Behind the Therapist

I don't believe therapists become blank slates when we sit down with another human being.

I bring my training and experience into the room, but I also bring warmth, curiosity, humor, intuition, and my own humanity.

My own life has also taught me a great deal about transition and becoming. I have lived across different cultures, raised a family, built and rebuilt parts of my professional life, and moved through seasons when the roles and identities that once defined me began to change.

Along the way, I've become increasingly interested in what happens when a woman begins to ask questions that don't always have immediate answers: Who am I beyond the roles I have carried? What still belongs to me? What am I ready to release? And what might the next chapter of my life ask me to become?

These aren't questions I believe a therapist answers for another person. But they are questions I deeply respect.

I know that life can contain tremendous beauty and tremendous difficulty, sometimes at the same time.

And I believe there are seasons when the identities and ways of living that once carried us simply don't fit anymore.

Those thresholds can be uncomfortable.

They can also become some of the most meaningful periods of our lives.

My hope is not simply that therapy helps you cope better with the life you have.

It is that our work helps you feel more at home within yourself and more able to create a life that feels genuinely yours.
